For the first one, I thought our dishwasher was just being really loud. The second one, i was at work and the building was shaking. We have them all the time here in tokyo. I had never felt one before living here. When we first moved here, we lived in a hotel and our first few days, there was an earthquake. I went and looked out the window to see what was going on outside and DH yelled at me to get away from the window. I live in Cali too and have felt my share. Scariest was the north ridge one (we were many many miles away in another county). I was dreaming everything was shaking and woke up and it still was. I was in middle school. </p> <p>The funniest was about 7 years ago. I live near a military base and large random explosions are common. It felt just like a large explosion my husband moved and I just say there like he was crazy. Why move for an explosion.</p> <p>The other note able one was when we were on vacation in San Diego. I ran out out of the hotel with one of the dogs. The other was trapped in his crate.
