Yep. We were right over the epicenter! DH was already up and playing with LO when it woke me up. I just ran straight out and grabbed her and took cover. I'm astounded I reacted that fast - my reflexes normally take half an hour and a couple of cups of coffee to come online.

Relieved it wasn't a serious quake.

my MIL said she was already in her car just about to leave for work. she thought her car was having trouble! my SIL said it felt like a slingshot. we're not there anymore, so i wonder how the LOs dealt with it!

I was the only kid in my family to wake up for the northridge earthquake and we lived near bakersfield at the time. It was crazy. I was dreaming and in my dream the room was shaking and I woke up and it was still shaking. I just sat there. Now if it happens, my little dude sleeps with me and I would grab him and roll off the bed. Into the void next to the bed.

We had an earthquake in LA today. It was a 4.7 and the epicenter was in Westwood. It woke us up a little before 6:30am. I hurt my toe on Saturday night and have been kind of limping since then, but I FLEW out of bed to go get Liam when I felt the shaking. He would have slept through it, but I was way too freaked out and picked him up. Nothing fell down and there's no damage, but it was still so scary!

If you live near LA, did you feel it? If not, have you been in an earthquake with LO? How did you react?
