I'm very careful but DH hates it when I do it but he refuses to do it thinking he'll do something wrong. It really grosses me out. LO's ear wax is so dry that they are very scattered, and they don't stick together so it is hard to get anything out. Almost every time we go for a checkup, Wagon Jr.'s ears have tons of wax in them. Usually the nurse will do a cleanout if it's blocking his ear, which involves two people holding him down while he screams. :( But the amount they take out is HORRIFYING. I'm talking ribbons and ribbons and ribbons of wax.</p> <p>These days I keep seeing it in his ears... even sticking out to the point where I could touch it! So over the weekend I actually got him to sit still enough to try and grab the end of it. I was able to pull out a pretty impressive ribbon of wax. I do have a little ear picker of my own, but I'm not daring enough to do it on him, so the rest will have to wait for his next checkup (and the next poor nurse who has to do it). </p>
