Easiest for us was two months
Hardest around 15-18 months when it was hard to contain/entertain her.
Just flew with her again at 20 months and despite a five hour delay she was such a trooper and we had a fun day in the airport.

DS is 14 months and so far so good. However, I quit flying with him around 6 months so I don't know how he is on flights now. I want to take him on one soon though so we'll see. We've been on a few road trips and he's done great!

Easiest for us was before 6 months. Once lo got on a more predictable schedule and took most of his naps in the crib it was harder for him to sleep other places. This was the worst from 9-16 months. He started walking and wanted to explore all the new things everywhere we went, and usually other places aren't child proof enough for my little daredevil. Now that he is a little older (18 months) this is getting easier and sleep g at night is getting better. Hopefully it will continue to get easier again :) we love to travel and all of our family is in state but at least 2 hours away so we do a lot of weekend trips.

All ages have their plusses and minuses. I think a lot of it has to do with parental attitude. If you set yourself up for a difficult time, it will happen that way.

I think the worst is between about 10 months to 16-18 months when they are mobile and not as easy to reason with. Before or after, easy!

Yes, it does get easier when they're walking. The crawlling stage was my favourite but it made getting out and about really tough. You can let them explore the beach and the park..... but gone are our relaxing meals out - E just wants to get out of the high chair and she's FAST! Before you know it, she's running up to other diners and not all of them find it adorable!

The very worst was the combination of 12 months and 33 months. It was an absolutely awful combination to travel with, and if I had it to do over again I would have skipped that trip. Now traveling with a 30 month old and a four year old is a dream!

Last summer when we went on vacation, LO was 18 months and we had a hard time feeding her, it seemed like. Not sure if it was a phase or the age. A bit of both.

This year she is 2 1/2 and she was much easier to entertain and feed. But her demands were much more... Loud, vocal, specific, ridiculous. But also she wanted to so a lot of stuff herself, so that ate up a lot of time every day, which didn't happen last year.

I think each age has ups and downs.

None have been particularly hard yet (DD is 15 months) but when we traveled when she was 2 months it was SUPER easy because she would sleep anywhere and all the time, so I could just wear her in a sling or push her in the stroller with no real restrictions on where we could go or times. When we traveled at 14 months, we had to do things around her naptimes and couldn't go to, for example, a movie because she won't be able to sit through it (before I could put her in the sling and she slept the whole time) but she was also a lot more fun.

Easiest: 6-9 months. She wasn't mobile and she was on 2 predictable naps.

Hardest: 12 months, right now. She won't sit still for a second, needs to be entertained a lot.

We just got back from vacation and I didn't feel comfortable letting her crawl everywhere...it was too hot to wear her and the terrain wasn't all that pushchair friendly. Tell me that it gets better when they are walking?
