@regberadaisy: She talks about three friends and one who is her BFF but then she has also talked about playing by herself, too "because no one wanted to play with me." I think it must be hard to go from a nanny share with her one good friend she saw every day to less individualized attention but I thought she was originally handling it ok. (Her nanny share BFF moved out of state.)

We are going to schedule a play date with a friend soon. Maybe she needs that one on one play time. She also starts her dance class this weekend so that may help, too--she'll see some familiar faces from the last session.

@looch: Yes, her teacher is good about giving her tasks. Usually LO will cling to my leg and her teacher will come and take her hand and ask her to put something in her cubby or join her friends.

I just hate that she's feeling so lonely. Last night she peed on herself and we put her in our bed. I had to finish up some work but she wanted me to come to bed and she kept telling me she was going to miss me and it was breaking my heart.

One thing that worked very well for my son ( i was advised by an experienced mom after I had a breakdown with ugly crying at work) was to give him a task to do when he walked into the school, such as to bring the teacher or director a sticker. It worked remarkably well, because it gives their drop off a purpose.

My LO started preschool two weeks ago in a 3s program. She loves school, her teachers, and her new friends. She is used to being away from us during the day since we both work full-time but she's always been with a nanny.

She is fully potty trained and since school started she has peed in the bed at night four-five times. She is also very clingy and holds onto my legs when I drop her off and wants me even more than usual.

So even though she likes school, the new environment is probably a little nerve wracking to her. Yesterday she was talking about how she's not ready to go to college because she's going to be lonely and she's not sure she's going to make friends (DH and I are like college?!?!?!) and she's been talking a lot lately about being nervous and scared about everyone laughing at her.

Any tips or suggestions?
