Difficult pregnancy, easy delivery, pretty easy baby. Great affect, high energy and very happy. Was not a great eater early on b/c of MSPI and reflux and he went through a terrible napping phase. But overall, an easy baby.

I had a relatively easy delivery albeit a long one with my first and he was a VERY difficult baby, toddler, kid, and now tween. You name it we've been through it with him.

Maddy was a difficult pregnancy, easy delivery and a very stubborn strong willed baby/toddler.

I don't think I'm meant to have easy babies! Dh's daughters were very difficult deliveries, his oldest ended with a c-section due to the cord being wrapped around her neck. Both of the girls I heard were very very easy babies.

Nah, I definitely don't buy it. DS was a difficult delivery but is a fun, spirited kid but a good eater & sleeper, etc.
I think second + babies might be easier because you know what to expect & aren't freaking out about every little thing?

I voted difficult delivery and an easy baby. She is a good baby minus the acid reflux, but she sleeps amazing and is generally a pretty happy baby at 4 months!

It's more likely birth order that affects the perception of easy. DD's birth was a terrible experience, but she's been a perfectly normal and good baby. She only seems difficult at times because of the steep learning curve!

I had a hellish delivery, and I don't have an 'easy' baby by your metric. I wouldn't want one, honestly. I'm a stubborn person myself, and I wouldn't expect my child to be anything different.

Is there a way to vote twice? I think it's more of a birth order thing. I don't really consider my eldest an easy baby, but she wasn't difficult either (but easy delivery). DS is definitely easy delivery, easy baby.

Wagon Sr. was chatting with some of his coworkers about kids (both of them have teenagers now) and one of them mentioned a theory about easy, peaceful deliveries leading to easy babies/kids. Both of them realized that out of their two children, one was a complicated, difficult delivery and those kids are stubborn and were difficult babies. The other was a simple, easy delivery and those kids are easygoing and were easy babies!!

Of course, this could also just be a birth order thing... second deliveries tend to be simpler and faster, and younger kids tend to be easier babies. Or so people tell me...??

Join in my very scientific research to prove or disprove this theory!!!
