@FutureMrsMcK: I didn't freak, because my nieces and nephews go once every 14 days, so I knew it was normal.

@junebugmama: wow, I think I'd freak out if E went that rarely! We were starting to worry when he went 3 days!

Sorry OP no input, my LO has pretty much gone only once a day (around 1pm) since he was born, with the rare instances of every 2-3 days.

Mine went from 1-2/day, to 3-4/week, to 1/week+ in a span of about two weeks when she was almost 3 months old.

I think around 6-7 weeks. LO is 10 weeks old and now poops 2-3 times per day (from 10-12 times at 1-2 weeks old!).

I'vee been wondering the same thing- at 4 weeks were just starting to have diapers that are only wet. From 6 days old to recently it was poopy every single time and then some!

I've learned from my new moms' group that every baby is different! Mine stopped pooping every day around 6 weeks. It gradually slowed to be every 3, 4, 5, then 6 days! She is now 3 months and goes about once every 4-5 days.

Ummm I don't think it was until she was about 6 months it slowed down and by a year she's pretty consistent at one per day in the mornings.

I'd love an answer to this! LO is still only 2 days old, but we've already changed 4 poopies today.

So I know it's common for EBF babies to poop infrequently. But I'm wondering when that starts? LO is 4 weeks and still in the newborn stage of pooping multiple times a day. When does it start to slow down?
