That's exactly what my 7 month old LO's poop looks like - a smushed patty against her butt (ew!). Today we didn't do purees all day because we were out and I noticed at night she had EBF liquid poo again - is it weird to say I kinda missed it?? Hahaha.

Thanks ladies. I was expecting it'd be some gradual thing I guess.

@Sammyfab: Peanut butter is a good consistency to describe it too.

@Mrs. Yoyo: Good to know. My Dad had mentioned the same thing (that I might see her usual business as well as this the odd time for a while) but I wasn't sure what to think because my brother and I were formula fed.

That's exactly what ours was like when he started purees. And it did still vary, but it got progressively harder from the breastmilk poop.

That is exactly what my baby's poop is like and he is 7 months! It's pretty hard a mouldable, right? Sometimes it varies between thick peanut butter poop and the really hard poop. When it's the hard poop he will poop several times a day and I can always tell when it's happening because he strains and growls (but doesn't seem to be in pain or anything).

My LO is ebf but over the past couple weeks we've dabbled with some purees. We'd gone on a stretch where we had a serving of solids every day for maybe 4 days, but she hasn't had any over the past two days.

Including today, it's been 3 days since she pooped. She usually gets really quiet and relaxed when she does it but today I noticed her actually straining. I checked her diaper and sure enough she had a little poop but it was not what I'm used to seeing.

It was kind of the consistency of cookie dough (sorry if I just ruined that for anyone), typical in color, but had a smell I'm used to smelling from older babies' diapers. It was basically smushed and stuck to her butt too. Is this normal? Her other poops since starting purees has been runny as usual just different in color, so this is throwing me off.
