(We're just starting though, so there's that.) He's not much of a sitter (he'd much rather stand whenever he can) so in most of the ways I've been able to hold him and get him to calmly sit on the potty, he presses his penis down against the pee spray shield part anyway. He's a lot closer to crawling than sitting on his own, but I imagine once he starts sitting on his own, we'll hold the penis down. I can't imagine the way he presses his penis against the shield is comfortable, but then he doesn't seem to mind so I guess it's ok and we'll go with it. It's tough though. I remember babysitting a kid who I think was three. I took him to the washroom (public place) and he asked me to hold his penis down. But, when he has to go #2, he pushes it down so that it won't spray all over. I started this week with DS (he's one month) and I just can't figure out the logistics of doing it with a boy. We used the Baby Bjorn potty with DD, but when I put DS on there, I got sprayed... twice, lol! </p> <p>How do you potty your baby boy? Do you hold his penis down so he doesn't pee all over the place? Or do you use special equipment designed specifically for boys? Girls are so much easier, in this respect! </p>
