@StbHisMrs: Thanks! I will check those out - I think I've used the seventh generation hand soap in the past but it may have been scented.

As far as dishes and cleaning I have been using nitrile gloves (and then I used cotton gloves at night) Most of the time my husband does the dishes so that helps.

@littlecasita1122: What kind of soap do you use?

@dojo: This is the shampoo I found that works the best out of the sls free category http://www.amazon.com/Color-Protect-Shampoo-8-45-Ounce-Bottle/dp/B000XTCFOC/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1390420693&sr=8-5&keywords=abba+shampoo
and I buy this from Target for my hands http://www.amazon.com/Seventh-Generation-22819-Unscented-Bottle/dp/B004J0094Y/ref=sr_1_12?ie=UTF8&qid=1390420820&sr=8-12&keywords=seventh+generation+soap
I struggle finding latex free sensitive dish gloves, but I also use seventh generation dish soap, free & clear.

@StbHisMrs: @littlecasita1122: Thanks for sharing what has helped for you! Do you have any specific recommendations for hand soap or shampoo? I try to typically purchase 'natural' type soaps without SLS but if there are any that you thought worked well that would be great! I wash my hands often and they always feel so dry right after until I apply moisturizer.

My Dr. mentioned that it could potentially be something I would have long-term and the fact that it hasn't cleared up very easily in about 8 months time is so frustrating!

I had it start on my hands while I was still pregnant and I think it was due to me washing my hands more since I had to pee allll the time. But it got really bad after my LO arrived (still just on my hands, though). I used hydrocortisone cream, vaseline, my LO's Aquaphor, and a couple other lotions but it never really cleared up until I switched hand soaps. I switched to soap that is not anti-bacterial and doesn't contain triclosan and my hands are much, much better this winter! They are dry but the eczema has gone away.

I got it on my hands after my first was born (11), I only had it on my legs and arms prior to that. I fight it yearly, worse in the winter. I've switched all our soap and shampoo to non-sls (sodium lauryl sulfate) non-scented, very "clean""plain" is best. I wear acrylic nails to help with the scratching (actually helps!) if you aren't completely against tanning, the beds have been shown to help. Some dermatologists have special beds for this too. I use eucerin and vaseline vs regular lotions. Those are just a few things, it has changed my life, I'm sorry you're going through it. Feel free to wall me if you have more questions. Also acupuncture has helped me in the past too.

I have been dealing with ongoing eczema on my hands since a few months after my LO was born without having it in the past. I went months just thinking it was dry skin because I was maybe dehydrated (my LO is breastfed so I thought maybe it was because I wasn't drinking enough water) I finally contacted my doctor over email and got a cream to help and though it helped it was not much better. Finally I scheduled an appointment and had it checked out which is when I found out it was eczema and not just dry skin (before this I thought eczema was only presented itself as a rash). I am using a stronger cream now which is helping and I have to wear gloves all the time at home when cleaning/sleeping.

I have it mostly on the tips of my fingers where it cracks - very painful! I don't know much about this type of eczema besides a few Google searches and my Dr. didn't mention anything about it being at all related to pregnancy/breastfeeding. I am just curious to see if anyone else has experienced anything similar and if so what helped and how did it resolve?
