I've been using this stuff since they used it on DS in the hospital. It does a good job on his bottom and I also use it on his face when it gets rashy.

@gingerbebe: we alternate between triple paste and calmoseptine for rash, too!

Also, baby gets daily nudey time before bath and it really helps!

My oldest is prone to diaper rash. I just have to make sure he gets changed often and he spends a lot of time with no pants on (mostly pees in the potty when naked). I can't wait until he doesn't sit in his poop anymore...

My son has the same kind of eczema and sensitive skin. We use A&D cream as a barrier cream that seems to help prevent and keep the skin protected from wetness and when he gets rashes we alternate with Calmoseptine and Triple Paste, slathered super thick like frosting with a baby bum brush.

@Mrs.Pinecone316: I ordered water wipes last week and they should be arriving soon, hopefully that will help!

@brownepiano: We use cloth diapers as well, and I've tried changing up the wash routine and adding a 1/2 cup of bleach. We did disposables for 11 days for xmas and NO change, so it's not the CDs as some people think!

DS has pretty sensitive skin. For his first two winters he'd get dry patches that we had to put lotion or hydrocortisone cream on. He also had perpetual diaper redness and got rashes every time he had teeth coming in. We used cloth diapers too, which most people say cuts down on rashes. He grew out of it but still has pretty sensitive skin. When he wets the bed he tends to get rashes from that.

We've been using aquaphor on him and his brother and it helps a lot.

My daughter has eczema (also genetic, she was allergy tested) and she can get diaper rashes easily. What made a huge difference was using water wipes (you can get them from target or amazon) and for diaper cream we use weleda diaper rash cream. Other wipes made it worse and other creams did nothing to help. Weleda is very healing so even the next time I change her diaper the little red areas are gone.

If your child had eczema, did they also have problems with diaper rash?

LO has some eczema patches if we get lax on bathing / lotion. DH has severe eczema, so it is genetic. LO also has had diaper rash for about 2 months now... some better days and worse days, very minor ever since we cut out citrus and generic formula... but still not full gone. It looks best when using max strength diaper cream. We've tried all the other tips online and tried a week of yeast-cream. At this point I'm wondering if it is just really sensitive skin. Like I same, it's really minor - just some rough pink areas.
