@butterbean: Ohhh, maybe I should write it down on the sheet too - maybe that will give me better luck! I knew when it was being applied before because my fave teacher would let me know during pick-up, but now that she's gone, I'm not sure what's happening.

@Andrea: Good idea about them applying vaseline before going outside! I should suggest that!

@matador84: I did end up giving them Aquaphor to use and I know they were using it, but Xander's main teacher has now left, so I'm not sure if the other teachers know to use it or not. I'll have to check!

Our daycare won't allow for anything medicated, so I keep some aquaphor in his bag and it helps a little...although he has pretty bad eczema.

I also told them he his highly allergic to lotions/perfumes and this triggers his eczema. I noticed one lady smelled like smoke and another wore some heavy perfume (older ladies...they take good care of the babies, but it was too much).

@Adira: I asked them to apply Vaseline to protect her face when they went outside in cold weather. That seemed to help her eczema. Also, if they ever saw her itching really badly, I asked them to apply some hydrocortisone.

So Xander's got some pretty bad eczema going on and it really bothers him - he's constantly scratching his face. I've been trying to put jojoba oil and/or aquaphor on him at home, but he's getting nothing at daycare.

What did you do if your baby had eczema and was in daycare? Can I ask them to apply something to his eczema when they do diaper changes? If so, what should I give them? Aquaphor? Vaseline? Eucerin?
