We moved when DS was 8 weeks. What helped was that the movers packed and unpacked. DS was totally fine with the whole ordeal.

We moved 4300 miles when E was 5 weeks old. It can be done. It just takes a little longer to get unpacked, that's all.

I moved 6 hours into our first house when LO was 5 weeks. I had a bunch of recovery complications, so my experience was especially foul but honestly, just focus on what HAS to get done. Those boxes can sit, and sit, and sit. Seriously. And delegate. And order pizza. Often ;)

We are moving with a 6 week old too in 2 weeks! We're just assuming that I will probably end up doing nothing and we will rely on friends and family to help get reorganized after the move

We are moving across the country when DD is 12 weeks old. We have started packing one room at a time and plan on spending the first weekend unpacking. My best advice is take this time to get rid of anything you don't need, use, or have serious sentimental value towards. We've given away like half our stuff

We moved when LO was three weeks. I pretty much dealt with baby, and the hubs moved and unpacked everything.

we moved when dd was 5 weeks. My mom and a friend helped take care of her while I helped move. The harder part is actually unpacking and organizing after the move. DH took a few days off work, otherwise we would have never gotten it done. Dd was also colicky and needed to be held throughout the day, so if your baby is calmer it'll probably be easier.

Good luck!

Just put the swing and pack n play in a room so when the movers are unloading they won't disrupt LO. Also wear her as much as you can while you unpack!

I am sure it will be fine. Moving at 6 weeks is going to far easier then if you wait and move at 15 months. I can't even imagine doing it now!

So just as the title says, we are moving this weekend. The new house is only about 35 minutes away. Little lady will be 6 weeks old and I was already dreading moving, but now moving with a baby!? Are we crazy? Any tips you guys can think of? My mom is coming to old house early in the morning and she and I will go to the new house with the swing and pack n play while my husband stays behind and deals with the movers. Any advice to make this a smooth transition?
