My LO reacted to egg yolk and we were told we could try baked goods at 12 months. I still made an egg free cake because I didn't want a reaction at her party. She has since been fine with baked goods but not scrambled eggs.

I found lots of egg (and dairy) free cake recipes by googling and searching on here.

@singingbee: I think she'll be fine. I'd assume you'd know by now. My DD is allergic to eggs and we were told her #'s went down so we could try a baked good with egg....

I made banana bread with one egg and gave her a small piece of the bread. She instantly got hives and 15 min later she started vomiting. So, based on my experience, if there is an allergy even the smallest amount will cause a reaction!

DS1 is allergic to eggs, but his numbers are decreasing. He recently passed a baked egg challenge (egg baked at 350 for 20 minutes like in a muffin or cake). If she has had it in baked goods before with no reaction, she should be fine.

I think new studies are saying egg is fine sooner. A few weeks isn't going to make much of a difference, anyways.

Okay, I have a question about eggs. Our dr mentioned that he still wanted us to wait until LO was 12 months old to introduce eggs. She is 11 months old. LO has had some toddler cookies and baked stuff like that. Does this mean she is okay with things that have eggs baked in them? I ask because I'm looking to make her birthday cake and some of the recipes have eggs in them. I also want to make her some things, but all the things I look at have eggs baked in them.
