Thank you ladies! @momazon: I got my pineapple on retrieval day so it is ready to go for transfer day! I was scared at first because the first grocery store didn't have any! But my husband went out later and got me one

@PurplePumps: i read more about the protein and I am trying with it- have had hard boiled eggs for breakfast and focused on the meat for my meals! I've also switched from my red raspberry leaf tea to dandelion which is supposed to help with bloating too!

I just want it to be done so I can be comfortable and happy for transfer day!

Thanks again!

@Mum: Hope things are going better today. My RE also said to have a lot of protein (I stocked up on Luna protein bars and had 1-2 a day along with my usual meats) too along with the gatorade.

I've heard high protein helps. Sorry you're having to deal with this! Congratulations on a successful retrieval! My acupuncturist recommended pineapple core around and after transfer to help with implantation.

Thank you ladies! We had 9 eggs retrieved. I don't think it is OHSS since going into it I only had about 10 good size follicles anyway but I will look more into it. I am chugging the Gatorade and my husband is getting me some milk of magnesia because I read somewhere that it helped another woman. I had my thyroid removed in January so I had some left over Tramadol with APAP and my nurse said I could take that so I am finally feeling a little better! Thank you!!! I hope I get back to normal before the transfer!

@Mum: Hoping you feel better soon! Did you have a high number of eggs retrieved? I'm wondering if you are at risk for OHSS at all if you are in a lot of pain/really bloated. Might be worth calling your clinic if you continue to feel bad - even tonight.

I had a mild/moderate case after my retrieval, so feel free to let me know if you have any questions.

Have you tried hot tea? That's the what the nurses suggested after my c-section.

I was super bloated too and generally out of it from the anesthesia, so I ate light that day and drank a ton of gatorade. I think your body just needs time to flush evetything out. That said, I was uncomfortable because of the bloating for sure but I don't recall being in any real pain. If you're in pain, I might check in with your doctor.

I had a pretty rough time after we got home. I've been trying to drink as much Gatorade as I could. Ate a smushed avocado for lunch- but I am so bloated and the bloat hurts I just can't think about eating anything else.

Any tips on what I can do to ease the pain or make it go away? Thanks in advance!
