She really really doesn't go fast at all. I insist on the helmet just to get her used to it being a requirement, as I do on her balance bike where so far she is just walking it pretty much. Like @hilsy85: she falls more just running around. We're getting her a helmet with it and I assume we should get elbow/knee pads? But the kids in the pictures don't have any - just helmets - and I know from working in marketing that if it were at all dangerous/not recommended to go without, they would put them on the models so they don't get sued.</p> <p>Also, I googled it and found some people saying their 2 year olds won't wear them. So it sounds like it could be kind of a waste? If it's important we'll insist but if not, I figure avoid the battle.</p> <p>ETA: If your answer is "yes," let me know what brand you recommend. Not finding much on Amazon. </p>
