I make tea using dried elderberries (I buy in bulk) for all of us whenever anyone seems to have a cold coming on. Can't prove anything, but it seems to be helpful! Doesn't hurt to drink some yummy tea (with honey and/or lemon juice) in any case.

I've started taking it when I feel myself getting sick or my toddler is sick. I can't say for sure if it works, especially since I take it with zinc and echinacea, but I've managed to avoid getting really sick even when LO and DH were sick.

I took these pastilles that had zinc too, and now I have some gummies that are tasty. I figure it can't hurt and I just can't get sick these days.

I've tried both the sambucol and natures way sambucus. I have gummies of them and pastilles as well as the syrup. The pastilles taste yummy but have honey in them.

I take it at the first sign of feeling unwell. It cuts my cold in half, both duration and intensity.

I've found it works best if homemade. :)

My kids and my husband started taking it a few months ago for immunity. Not really sure if we think it works or not. Both kids and my husband have gotten sick since started it but we're sticking with taking it through the season. I'm about give birth in the next few weeks and want all the sicknesses to stay away.

Has anyone ever used elderberry syrup for yourself or LO to boost immunity or fend off cold/flu? What was your experience?

Thanks!
