@Mrs. Champagne: @thepicklemonster: @karenbme: thank you ladies! I’m hopeful it’s normal and not an underlying issue. I’m eager for Tuesday’s appointment!

Same. My RHR is usually in the low to mid
50s, but it has jumped up to the mid 60s right around 3 1/2-4 weeks with each pregnancy and is sitting around 75 most days right now (22 weeks). I haven’t gotten any sort of racing sensations, but as others have said increased RHR seems totally normal.

My friend had to see a cardiologist about this during pregnancy and they said she was fine but told her to avoid caffeine and try to rest more.

Mine was around 130 at times during my OB appointments! 🤭 I think it’s normal for sure but good to confirm :)

@JennyPenny: thinking back, mine did race a bit in the early weeks too! Thank you!

@MamaBear87: I’m sure it’s no big deal, I just worked myself up hearing I had to see a cardiologist! Thank you!

@pachamama: thick is a good word for it, and I guess it makes sense! I had no idea we produced that much more blood!

I appreciate you all taking the time to calm my nerves. I just get such anxiety when it’s racing for no reason.

I specifically remember around 19 weeks (sooner for you maybe bc of the twins?) my blood feeling so thick.... like my heart was working hard. Like after exercise. My OB said it was totally normal bc now is when your body is really making all that extra blood! 50% more, it's nuts!

@Jessiemuller88: mine did not feel like it was racing generally. You could be having some tachycardia which in pregnancy is generally benign and not a big deal.

I remember seeing a thread once where people knew they were pregnant because their average resting heart rates went up even before getting their bfps. I’d still keep the appointment with the cardiologist just to be sure, but I think it’s a common thing.

This is me literally sitting on my ass watching Dora the explorer and scrolling through Facebook, and it randomly feels like it's racing.

My resting heart rate while pregnant is pretty high. 80s-100. I saw my cardiologist several times while pregnant and he was never concerned. The extra blood flow and just being pregnant can both make your resting rate higher

Hey ladies! I’m almost 15 weeks pregnant with twins, and the last three days, my heart has felt like it was racing. I had an appointment today at a Breast Clinic and although my BP was normal, my resting HR was 100. I called my OB and they referred me to a Cardiologist! Now I’m freaking out that something is seriously wrong, which is likely making my heart race even faster 🙄 do any of you have any experience with an elevated HR during pregnancy and everything being normal!? I don’t go until next Tuesday, so I’ll be worrying until then.
