I got my LO tested recently and she's allergic to 7 of TED: Nuts (all nuts), soy, dairy, egg, some fish, wheat (very mild). In addition, she's also allergic to black pepper, grains of paradise (which I tried to use as a pepper substitute), garlic, red bell peppers, chocolate, sesame seeds and I'm sure more that wasn't tested. AND, and tart fruits make gives her oral allergy syndrome :(

I've been on my special diet for over a year and I am sooo ready to start weaning my LO. However, I'm struggling with getting her to drink enough non-breastmilk liquids and since she's allergic to cow, soy, nut milk, there's very few options left for her. We eat very simple foods here, mainly meat, veggies, grain, and rice products, all homemade . When she's older and can communicate better, I'll test out more spices to boost the flavor in her foods but now, better to be safe.

Hang in there!

Me! Me! Me! I did a total elimination diet to get him back to where he needed to be and then cut out all diary, soy and gluten. He is a different little boy. I always need more recipes.

I wish I had more support in general. My friends make fun of my "special" diet. I just wish them all food intolerant children. No one knows what it is like until it happens to you.

Hey all! I was wondering for many of us are on an elimination diet while nursing our littles ones? Whether it be a dairy or soy elimination, all the way down to a Top 8 or TED...I thought we could offer each other some advice and support and maybe some yummy recipes?!

I'm currently on an elimination from milk, soy, wheat, peanut, tree nut, egg, fish, shellfish, gluten, rice, and oats, but I am getting ready to move forward with a TED. DS was diagnosed with FPIES and I'm trying to establish a good baseline and get rid of what is left in my diet that is still acting as a trigger. You?
