It's definitely possible they would negotiate... Ours is $350 a year I think. I wouldn't transfer u less you knew where you were going.

@mrswin: Yeah, I don't know. I guess in about 2-3 years, I might consider doing another FET.

@bluestriped bee: Wow! It only costs us $250 a year to store our 2 remaining embryos so I haven't bothered to even look into other options. I know you are still pregnant but when is the earliest you think you would do am FET, because if it 2 or 3 years from now it will cost you a couple thousand to keep them at the RE's... Such a tough choice

@Mrs. Pickle: Yeah, that is a good idea. I should ask my RE if I will get a refund if we don't keep them for the full year. Though, I'm sure I won't remember to move them when we are dealing with the house move. I'll probably get the same phone call that I got today a year from now and it will remind me to move them.

I just got my bill too! We have 1 embryo left and have to keep it at our clinic because they don't allow them to be transferred.

In your case I think I would leave them and then move them once you move and find a new RE, if you decide to do another transfer. That way they only have to be transported once. I get nervous at the thought of embryos traveling! I know they safely do it all the time though.

Just got a call from my RE telling me that my 1 year storage will be up in October. I will need to pay them about $720 to store my embryos for another year.

Did any of your guys transfer your embryos to another storage facility? Or did you keep them at your RE? Any reviews or issues with your storage facility?

I'm currently pregnant with twins and we currently have 5 embryos in storage. We aren't exactly sure if we will be in this area a year from now. (Hoping to start job hunting after the babies arrive and move back east.) I do love my RE, though. For me, it could be easier just to keep them at my RE because I know and trust them. But, I'm sure there are other embryo storage facilities that are cheaper than my RE.
