This is what I packed up. Some kind bars, crackers, pretzels, no salt trail mix of some sort, greek yogurt, celery and carrots, already ate the apple, peanut butter & light cheese ranch. Oh and there was string cheese this am too. This is obviously way to much food but it will last days with tons of dry shelf goods so its easy to grab & go.

I always have almonds, bars (like kind bars or lara bars) and generally an apple with me. For a bigger "kit" to bring with me I like to stock carrot sticks, hummus, nut butter, crackers, maybe some bananas. Cut up fruit is great too!

I always had a pouch of almonds and crystallized ginger (for heartburn) in my bag. Other snacks I carried we're granola bars, veggie chips and rice or almond crackers. I should get back into the habit of carrying healthy snacks because now that LO's here I have way less time to eat than when I was pregnant. I hit up the dunkin donuts drive-thru more than I care to admit!

I never left the house without nuts and dried fruit. I also loved having string cheese handy, too!

I'm on the road a lot & I've decided I need to pack and emergency food kit. Ill be 4wks tomorrow & being hungry every 2-3 hours is expensive & inconvenient. I also want to limit my urge to grab junk food.

I am shopping tonight & I need ideas for my kit! What did/do you keep on hand? I can pack a cooler for the cold items but would love to hear about the snacks I can keep in my car or purse at all times. Any ideas?
