Btw, if I was pumping 6 hours and only getting 4 oz., I would have quit a long time ago!

Congrats on quitting the pump. I felt so excited, relieved, and relaxed when I quit it. As much as I miss nursing my little dude, I'm happy that we're both happy with formula.

@swurlygurl: It's not silly at all! I hate pumping - on top of being annoying, it is such a time hog! My LO is 10 months (today!) and I am down to 1 pumping session a day (I don't have a freezer stash . . . but that's a story for another day!). I can't wait to be done!

@MsLipGloss: @birdofafeather: Thanks! It seems such a silly thing to be happy about, but I've increased my day by like 33%!

I am so so so so soooo happy!

I've been exclusively pumping, and only getting 18 oz maximum from 6 hours of pumping. At 5 1/2 months, my milk has decided to DIE (down to 4 oz after 6 hours of pumping), so I'm quitting. That kind of time commitment is just not worth it anymore. DD is starting to get fun and mobile, and I just can't justify spending that much time away from her for hardly any reward.

I am very sad that I'm not able to give my daughter any more breastmilk, but she'll get 1/2 and 1/2 up to 6 months (I gave her 15 breastmilk and froze the remainder 3, which gave me a tiny stash). I think I'm too happy about tossing aside the pump to be too sad about Lyla not getting anymore breastmilk!!
