Most patients will experience some moderate cramping during the procedure. We generally recommend taking Ibuprofen or advil 30 min prior to procedure. The actual biopsy tool looks like a long skinny straw. It acts as kind of a suction device- and takes only a few seconds. Some patient have mild spotting afterwards, but the pain goes away fairly quickly. </p> <p>That being said- I hope it relieves some anxiety, but i have confidence that you won't need it! But I was! That was in Feb/March. (MC at about 8 weeks.) I guess my RE decided my lining or whatever wasn't the problem since I did get pregnant, and she hasn't brought it up since then. </p> <p>But yeah, I was terrified of it, and really didn't want to do it. Especially since they don't seem to be big on pain relief here! I also read online that it wasn't fun. </p> <p>@pui: I don't see the harm in doing it, but if I were you I'd ask for drugs. But I also agree that of all the testing they could do, an endometrial scratch test comes last and is only done if they've done every other test and they find something that indicates a reason to suspect something is wrong with your lining. I hope you're not paying out of pocket for anything? #1 should always be hormone testing (cd3 and 7dpo), especially since you're having trouble O'ing on your own. Sounds... painful. </p> <p>Anyone else have a Endometrial Biopsy of the Uterus? What was the procedure like? My RE said it is not fun but it's quick. Is this accurate? Please share your experiences! </p>
