The doctor came in and said that he's pretty darn sure it's the uterine infection. Right after, my fever went up again and I got chills/lightheaded and they're changing my antibiotics. Hoping these ones work

.@Mrsbells: thanks. This is not how I imagined spending the first week of my son's life...

@JamieLee: Sorry you are dealing with this... I hope it isn't endometriosis because from what I understand that's trickier to deal with and manage. hopefully the medication will work fast and clear up the infection. Hugs <3

I had a c-section Friday after my membranes had been ruptured for 18 hours. We left the hospital Monday and I wasn't feeling fabulous. I've been in a lot of pain but I thought that was normal. Wednesday we went to baby boy's first pediatrician appointment then went to Target. It was a long day for me and by the time I got home I felt terrible. Took my temperature - 102. Doctor wanted me to come in. Based on my symptoms they sent me to the ER. The concern was a blood clot, which sent me off the deep end. Cat scan ruled out the blood clot but my urine showed infection. I stayed in the ER overnight then was admitted. Spent another night in the hospital while they pumped me full of fluids and antibiotics. First they told me I would just have to stay the one night, then the next, and the doctor just came in and told me they don't know if its a urinary tract infection or endometritis. So they want me to stay for one more night.

My question is, has anyone had a post c-section infection? How did your treatment/recovery go?

Thanks in advance...I don't really know what to expect and I'm getting frustrated being stuck in the hospital.
