But I will say I took a big poop like 5 minutes before contractions started! And I did not poo during labor and delivery (or for like four days afterwards!) Enemas really aren't bad though. I've had to do them for a procedure to check my colon. You definitely don't go all day. You may be in the bathroom for like, 20 minutes but it's definitely a quick process! It only loosens up the bottom of your stools. Kind of a domino effect. When we had our childbirth class (at the hospital) the instructor was saying that your body will usually clear itself out before labor so a big poop is a good sign, and she's like, that's why we don't make you get enemas anymore, because we now know that it's unnecessary. I don't really care if I poop in labor anyway, to be honest.
