@sloaneandpuffy: I don't actually pump anymore. I had to stop in order to get my period back so I could get preggo again (currently 19 wks!) But when I did pump, yes I did it overnight as well. I'd wait for him to wake me up and would have a bottle prepped. While I pumped, he'd drink his bottle. It worked out pretty well as far as time efficiency goes but again, I didn't know any different! I plan on doing the same with baby #2. As for supply, I had an over-supply. I pumped on a very regular schedule regardless of how much DS needed so that I could build up a big freezer stock-pile. I'm not sure how it would have affected supply if I BF first and then switch to EP but I never had supply issues. Hopefully you won't have to do it much longer! :-)

I agree! If I had to EP, I'd look at weaning. Pumping drives me bananas!

@sloaneandpuffy: I'm sure that definitely makes a difference. DS only ever knew BM from a bottle with me, DH, G'ma, G'pa etc. feeding him so he never looks at just me to do it. I do have to say that the amount of pump dishes are the WORST. DH got really good at doing them!

@ktgee04: do you pump overnight? And is your supply ok? Mine is great but I already feel it going down. I could never keep this up long term!!!

@ktgee04: maybe if your baby is used to it it's easier too? Mine keeps looking at my chest like "Um, that's it right there. That thing." And my husband doesn't really know how to prep the bottles. So we both do every feeding at night :'(

I made the decision to EP from the very beginning so that DH could bond with DS while feeding. I've never known any different which makes it easier - otherwise maybe I'd think its more of a hassle! :-)

I am on Cipro right now and the pedi suggested I pump and dump until it's out of my system. I already pump three times a day at work but now I added four other sessions. I will never again complain about my baby wanting to be in bed and nurse all night because making bottles and pumping on top of that is the worst! I don't know how you ladies do it!!!! You're anazing. Hope your babies sleep better than this one at least!
