It will go away within 1-3 days. i would repeat the above steps the next day and so on until it clears out. Good luck! If you have a relationship with a derm, call and get the steroid injection. But if you don't, they generally don't squeeze in new patients. In that case, I have applied OTC steroid cream while it is still under the skin to try to reduce inflammation. Then, once it is on the surface, I use a spot treatment - those OTC 2% gels. Also, if you have access to it and again, aren't KU, an oral antibiotic called doxycycline can help. (Can you tell I have experience?? When I am stressed - this happens. It is the worst. And leaves discoloration after.
