I went straight to EP with my second and I'm so happy. Neither of my kids were into nursing. Wagon Jr. was just your LO's age when we quit. I was a SAHM. It was so hard to get him to stay still long enough to nurse, and then I dried up so I just called it quits. I had enough of a stash to give him one bottle every day til he was 1, so I labeled that as enough and stopped. This time around, being a WOHM I EPed until a year and I loved it. </p> <p>Making it to 8 months with an uninterested baby is amazing!! You are awesome. And providing her with pumped milk is definitely enough as long as you are bonding in other ways. I never bonded with my kids with nursing. I've tried offering at other times and she has absolutely no interest. And lately, she's started refusing during that one time in the morning as well. I just can't be rejected like this any more. There's no point. She loves me. She's very affectionate with me. We love being together. But nursing is not how we bond. </p> <p>I'm thinking of just calling it what it is and being an exclusive pumping mom from now (8 months) until she turns a year old. I'm worried and sad to give up nursing, but she's never loved it, and because of that, neither have I. </p> <p>I think committing to 8 months of nursing is pretty good, considering. I'm really sad about it, but it was never good, and I've tried to do it long enough. </p> <p>Did anyone else go to exclusive pumping late in the game? How did it go for you? </p>
