@AmandaB8: ahh I will try and pull her feet out a bit more. They weren't squished in there or anything more like resting on top.

I will try lowering the chest strap in back for sure too

Make sure her feet aren't tucked into the waistband.

If the straps are digging into your armpits, try taking the chest clip (thas the clip in the center of your back) and raising it up a little if you can and tightening it.

The waistband can be anywhere between your hips and your belly button - just play around with it and see what's the most comfortable for you.

@MrsBrewer: Try lifting her higher. Put you hand under the carrier (on the outside), lift until it feels comfortable and then tighten it more. If I remember right, the waistband should be at your bellybutton. That might help the armpit digging.

Alright I tried it! I think she's high enough! But it's kind of digging in my armpits. Do I have it on right?

Yep blanket! Like Jess i used the blanket to give her bum a boost. So glad I didn't bother with the insert.

@MrsBrewer: I was just thinking the same thing!

Are LOs legs still suppose to be in? Or can they be out?

When my lo was little I used the feet tucked for a long time. You can look at the insert or online for positioning info.

Thanks for the suggestion!!

How do you know if they are sitting high enough in the carrier with the blanket under the butt? Will it just feel right?

You can put a rolled up blanket under her bum/feet to get her in the proper position! I wish I had done that with H, I found the insert to be absolutely useless. I'll do this with the next kiddo.

Yep, I had a "certified babywearing consultant" (yeah, that's a real thing...) tell me you could use a rolled up blanket--use it like a seat and have baby's legs go on either side of it. Then place baby in the Ergo like normal. If you need more head support, you can also roll a small blanket behind their neck.

I've read some people roll a small receiving blanket and place it on the bottom of the ergo to help support their LO until they are big enough to not need the insert.

Just roll up a blanket until lo is in a good position. I had to do that for awhile after the infant insert.

My LO is 8 weeks, and while I have the Moby wrap, I really want to use our Ergo! I don't have the infant insert though, and I really don't want to buy it now. My LO is now in 3 month clothes, probably about 12 lbs or so and loooong!

Think I'll have any issues??
