I stuffed a rolled up A&A blanket under her butt in the ergo, so she still could curl up her legs around that (kind of like w/ the infant insert), rather than having her legs hang out the side.

@sslm: yeah, her legs had to be that way because she was stuck in that position due to the harness so we just modified the insert to work.

@sslm: hmm...I put his butt on top if the hole and his knees were bent, so they propped on the waistband of the ergo...does that make sense? So his legs couldn't go they te whole bc his butt was filling it up.

@hilsy85: so what about the hole in the bottom of the insert? When I put her in it her feet went through the hole!

@sslm: we never used the insert with the pillow...we put him in the insert and kind of propped his legs on the waistband of the ergo, so they weren't splayed but weren't up to his chin either.

We were in a slightly different position as A was wearing a hip dysplasia harness and her legs wouldn't fit in the insert properly so we cut the pillow out of the insert and opened out the insert so she could sit in it comfortably. We used it with and without the pillow really easily with the legs seated as they would seat without the insert.

LO is very long so I want to use the insert without the pillow as they recommend in the book. I can't figure out how to do that though. When I tried it er little feet started sticking out the waist strap part and it seemed very uncomfortable for her.

When you remove the pillow, what do you do with their legs?? I can't find any guidance online.
