We have the Ergo performance, which is pretty breathable. It's made out of more technical fabric. We use it hiking and around town, and we love it.

we have an Ergo and used this this weekend with DD (8 month old) and it was about 90. I have to say I was hot with it and DD's back was sweating. We have the gray one. Oh Ergo is having a sale on the black one $108 on their website

@Smurfette: We're in Atlanta too! LO is only 9 weeks old so I don't have much baby wearing experience in the heat, but I wore him in the Ergo to a memorial day party and we were both pretty sweaty by the time I took him out. He didn't seem to mind though! I definitely think the Moby and K'Tan are warmer than the Ergo, so it's worth a try. I love ours.

My daughter was born in June, so we started with a Bjorn Air, and moved her into an Ergo once she was bigger and the weather wasn't quite so brutal. Now we are back into the hot sticky season, and I've still hit her in the Ergo. Even though she's small at 11 months (about 16 pounds), that's just too much weight for me to carry only on my shoulders. DH sometimes takes her in a hike in the Bjorn, but even he is starting to find it uncomfortable under her weight. Unfortunately, summer baby wearing is just a sweaty business. I try to wear prints or thin shirts that dry quickly to avoid a big wet patch where LO was against me. :)

@Smurfette: We have the performance Ergo. I don't think its too bad but it is hot. Like others said, not really any hotter than other baby wearing.

I have the galaxy gray Ergo so it won't absorb too much sunlight. It gets warm, but in my experience all babywearing does when it's hot out. I love it! So easy to get on and off, I like the pocket and the hood for shade for baby's head or support when he sleeps.

We have an ergo that DH uses and a boba 3g I use. I know they make a boba air that is supposed to be more breathable but haven't seen it in person. I'm planning on ordering a ring sling to wear LO on my hip now that he is bigger and its hotter, it seems like it would be less sweaty!

I'm in south Florida and I prefer the Bjorn air over the ergo for heat reasons.
I have the organic navy ergo, but its just too hot IMHO if we're outside...

I love our Ergo and don't get too got in it. We bought ours on amazon (as we do just about everything!) but I've seen some great gently used ones on eBay so that might be worth checking out :)

Baby wearing in general is hot, imo. It can be pretty warm, but I don't think it is worse than others.

We have an Ergo and love it! We both run hot too (as do our kids) and haven't had a problem with it.

We have this one

I think all carriers are a bit hot. But the ergo is less hot than the moby or k'tan.
I see them come up on nobetterdeal pretty often.

I love the Ktan but DH can't use it. So we want to get one that he can use as well. He tried on the Ergo a friend had. She put her 11 month old in it. He said that he liked it.

Why question is, is it really hot when you wear for awhile? We are in Atlanta and DH and LO are hot natured. Is there one that is more breathable?

Also where did you get yours? Do they ever go in sale anywhere?
