@LCTBQE: We first started using our Lille Airflow when F was a few weeks old, and we still use it occasionally to wear him on our backs. I love it because, at least with the Complete version, you can use it from 7 lbs. and don't need any kind of infant insert, although we did do a rolled up blanket in the bottom to boost him a bit higher (Lillebaby suggests this in the manual).

I’d try a standard Tula too! They’re amazing and a little bit bigger than the ergo (and the panel is taller).

Agree with 1st poster to forget about 360. If you want get a standard Tula, they're bigger than the Ergo so it would work for longer. Or look into a toddler solar integra! Great for summer.

@peachykeen: Thanks! We live in an area where it definitely gets cold, but I feel like the mesh is still worth it for the summertime.

@LCTBQE: My plan is to wear a Nesting Days carrier when she is little and then switch her to the Lilliebaby when she grows out of the Nesting Days.

Here is a pic of the Nesting Days.

@LemonJack: The mesh is very comfortable for me - it's the only Ergo we've used with DD2 and I use it at least 2x a week (usually more). She seems comfortable too since she sleeps great in it.

It also packs up very easily if you ever travel with it.

I did use the 360 facing outward at 9 months with DD1 but she was lighter and less wiggly. I can't remember when I stopped with her but definitely before 18 months.

uhh, looks like I'm an outlier but I wore my huge baby in the ergo 360 facing out comfortably until he was about 26 pounds, and we walk almost exclusively (nyc). I think all the straps have to be really snug and the baby way up high against you, the baby can't dangle at all or it will hurt. I actually only stopped because my pregnancy bump got in the way, but now at 29 lbs he really is too heavy for the 360. after about 6 months my kid wouldn't tolerate facing in, he wanted to see out, so I'm really glad we had the 360 not the original.

I thought the infant insert sucked FWIW, at the tiny stage I loved my solly wrap, by the time he outgrew that he was in the 360 facing in and fit well in it. no comment on mesh vs original except to say I never thought the original was that stuffy.

@crazydoglady: I want to get one of these but I *know* I can't wear him this summer and I'll probably be wearing the baby girl after her arrival. when are you going to use yours, when your girl is bigger?

@peachykeen: Is the mesh Ergo as comfortable as the 360? I think I’m debating between the mesh and original at this point.
@crazydoglady: The Lillebaby looks nice, but I know I find the Ergo comfortable so I think I’m sticking with it for now!

I have Ergo mesh (I think it's called Performance), Ergo 360, and toddler Lille. Toddler Lillebaby would definitely be too big for most kids until age 2.

I would go with a mesh Ergo or (baby) Lille because DD2 is already too heavy to face out in the 360 without ruining my back and she's only 9 months/19 lbs.

@crazydoglady: toddler will likely be too big unless her 11 month old has super long legs. Toddlers don't usually fit until they're in 2t pants

@LemonJack: Not sure if it's helpful but I would probably go with a toddler Liliebaby. I just sold an ergo 360 because it was really hot, uncomfortable, and the lumbar support wasn't great.

@MamaBear87: No real need to get one without an insert, but that seemed like a plus. Do people say the adapt isn’t as comfortable? The one I borrowed (and liked) was a 360, but I’m not married to that particular one. I like the idea of mesh for summer!

@LemonJack: from what I've heard the adapt isn't great.

If you're looking for something that doesn't require an insert kinderpack is a good option. The beco Gemini is a good option if you have smaller kids. The lille baby also doesn't require an insert

If you have a babywearing chapter in your area that's a fantastic place to go to try on different carriers to see which fits you best

I’ve been borrowing a regular Ergo carrier the past year and loved it, but needed to return it to its owner. I’d like to buy one for myself, but can’t decide which kind. It’s for an 11 month old. Standard, 360, or mesh? Which do you have and like, and why?

Edited to add, has anyone used the Ergo Adapt? I like that it doesn’t need a separate infant insert (if we have another child).
