I have bought essential oils from a local woman who sells at our big farmer's market here, which I really like, because at her booth she has photo albums of her garden/plants and really detailed descriptions about how they were made/how to use them. There's no certification or grade on oils. I don't use them in place of medical professionals, nor do we ingest them. I DO think they have their place for some purposes (a drop of eucalyptus in the tub clears up my congestion, a drop of lavender on our dryer balls makes our sheets smell good, etc) but I hate that they're being misused and abused and getting a bad rap for the sake of some pyramid scheme company. I found that they really help with my headaches, which is amazing since I've had chronic headaches and migraines for 10+ years and not much helps. I also use then when I'm sick and that helps as well. But I'm not one to use them in the place of needed modern medicine either.
