@GreenThumb: I think the patches might work better than the pills. I guess my office does patches for IVF and pills for FET.

@swedishfish: I asked last time around because those stupid patches are so expensive and they said no. Oh well… they are really not that bad :silly: .

@GreenThumb: I've been taking Estrace pills this time instead of the Vivelle dots. Are pills an option for you?

@swedishfish: I scrubbed like crazy last time around and I feel like after the almost 4 months of patches I had adhesive on me for another 4 months after that! DH had to scrub it off my back when I showered because it was hard to reach. I've got big patches for this first RX order but I'm going to see if my insurance will cover the little Vivelle dots for the next order. Are you on estrogen support? I'm going to be working my way up to 4 patches every other day until I'm 11 weeks!

Ugh, the adhesive on those patches was a pain to remove. I think I just scrubbed it with soap which is definitely not a good way. Hope you can find something that works well!

@GreenThumb: The nicest way to remove adhesive is aquaphor, rub it in, wait a little, rub more under the area that has raised up, repeat. Or ask if you can get some detachol from the doctor which is made for removing adhesive

Does anyone have any tips for the removal of the adhesive left over from estrogen patches? I'm just starting to use them for an upcoming FET and I forgot what a pain it was to remove the adhesive. Anyone tried anything that works well without all the rubbing? Alcohol wipes never worked well for me last time. My clinic suggests Neutrogena cleansing wipes, but I thought I would check with you ladies before buying anything. Thanks!
