Turns out you can get an evap line on them and that is why you should not take them out of the garbage. Took another one tonight to check but I have the heavy spotting that precedes AF, so I didn't bother with the FRER and used another dollar store one-- BFN. Having a big glass of wine now.

Hmm... this sounds good, but I'm still feeling pessimistic. I started spotting at the usual time before AF yesterday/today, so I feel like it's going to be negative. But I'm doing the FRER after work today since DH will be home later tonight, so I will update you guys. I feel dumb that I didn't even look at it at 10 minutes-- I literally waited 5 minutes, stark white, tossed it and pulled it out 24 hours later.

Update forthcoming around 7 pm or so. It's going to be really hard to not pee for 4 hours before, I have the smallest bladder!

My BFP first showed up on a Dollar Store test about an hour after I took it, well after the time limit. I'm 29 weeks pregnant. Fingers crossed that this is it for you!

I had a faint test line show up on a supermarket brand pink dye HPT hours after I should have thrown it away - and I was pregnant! (not for long, but I was!). Re-test, re-test!!!! And let us know as soon as you do!!!

I just had either an evap line or a very faint positive. It was swiftly followed by a drop in supply and the heaviest period I've had yet, so I think I may have had a chemical pregnancy. I hope you do better than me!

Fingers crossed for you! I don't know how common it is but I am guilty of pulling them out of the trash and I have never seen one change later.

Have you ever had an evap line (showed up after the time window) on a pink dye test or a dollar store test? I figured all tests are subject to them, but then I started reading it's more rare with some types than others.

Full disclosure, I took a test out of the garbage the next day and there is totally a faint line. I threw it out after 5 minutes so I have no idea when the line showed up. I think it's faintly pink but it is really way too light to tell, and I'm not testing again until DH gets home tomorrow. I can deal better with not knowing for 24 hours than knowing alone and not being able to tell him in person. I am going on the assumption that it's evap, because really, it was 24 hours later. Dumb. I also picked up some FRERs on my way home to I'm ready when he gets home.
