I would totally do it :) (and I have - the YMCA does parent's night outs for four hours once a month and it's $25). </p> <p>I know with my kid, if I don't get him to bed right on time, it's not the end of the world. He's pretty good about it - especially if he then has the weekend to adjust. So for us, it's pretty easy to do this sort of thing. But I know not all kids are like that. D adjust fine to the change in routine - he fell asleep there, kind of woke up when we got him in the car, but went right back down at home. Everything worked out fine for us. I think LO was a little confused because there were no other kids and everyone was probably speaking Chinese the whole time (instead of a mix of Chinese and English) but she seemed fine. E will have a one-off crazy late night with MIL sometimes and you know what? doesn't affect her much at all. So once in awhile, I don't care, it's ok! They feed them dinner, have some activities, and then do "lights out" (although at a later time than LO's usual bedtime).</p> <p>DH and I are tempted to try it since it's cheaper than a babysitter, we know all the teachers, and we really do need a date night (we haven't had one since LO was born!). But I'm not sure how LO will do if we mess up her normal dinner/bath/bed schedule, plus she still nurses in the evening so I don't know what will happen if we skip or delay it. I also worry she won't get back to sleep if we wake her when we pick her up. </p> <p>Has anyone tried something like this before? Do you think it would be worth it? </p>
