thanks girls! I am starting to think that he just needs to cry to get rid of some excess energy?!? He doesn't cry a lot besides that hour... I sure hope this is a phase he will grow out of! the sooner the better

I think that is really common for young babies and they eventually grow out of it so just hang in there! It sounds like you have a good routine.

Jovani is fussy around that time also. As soon as it's bath time he calms down, he loves getting a bath. He is a fighter when it comes to going to sleep though, but once he's asleep he's normally knocked out good.

Eli is only 10 weeks old... he is generally a happy baby... he cries very little.. if at all.. then all of the sudden at around 5 - 6pm every evening.. he would just cry and cry.. it's almost impossible to console him... and when I prepare his bath.. I have to put him down on his bouncer or something... then forget it.. he would just scream on and on.. it usually lasts about 30 - 40 min each day :(

I've noticed that it's around the same time that my son is fussy too. I know that it's mostly because he is teething and those are the times that make him the fussiest. Jacob seems to do the same thing with the bathtime too. Just try to do various things to calm him down like maybe play with a favorite toy with him or hold him and rub his back or maybe give him a snack because he could also be a little hungry too. How old is your baby? If you have a real young one then most likely it's a colicky baby. I've never dealt with that before. My son is almost 9 months old

Eli has always been fussy toward the end of the day.. usually around 5 - 6pm... so when I give him his nightly bath and his bedtime bottle... it's always a struggle! He usually calms down as I am bathing him since he likes the warm water.. but then he would scream as I am getting the bath ready and as I am feeding his bedtime bottle. His bedtime is around 6:45pm... We usually start his routine at 6pm-ish... we tried pushing his bedtime earlier but that did not help either... I used to think it's because he doesn't nap well during the day so he is really tired toward his bedtime... but he still fusses on the days when he slept a lot! any suggestions?
