Of the three I thought the group therapy with a therapist was the most helpful. It was a small group of about 6 women with two therapist that led the group. There were exercises to help relieve anxiety, negative thinking, journaling exercises, and just being able to share your experience and feelings with other women that were in the same situation as you. It was mostly about the emotional aspects of infertility and how it changes your life. I went to our local resolve support group, which was peer led, and that seemed to be more focused on the medical aspects of infertility more than anything. I didn't really like it and neither did my husband. Each resolve group is different so your local group may be different than what mine was. I know that there are therapy groups for couples with infertility that are led by trained therapists and that was next on my list to explore. My husband and I are seriously considering it, but not sure if it will be weird - we've each been to individual therapy but never a group setting. I'm pretty comfortable talking about infertility but it might be a bit much!</p> <p>Experiences or advice? Was there anywhere else you turned to, such as church, a particular organization like Resolve, etc.?</p> <p>We've just gone through so much craziness on this infertility journey, including surgery, and still having a long road ahead is starting to be overwhelming for us. </p>
