Not pregnant, but yeah, I felt like a time bomb. Luckily, DH doesn't go very far from me anyways, even when not pregnant. But, I'd say two hours at the most.

I'm due the day after you and I'm starting to feel a bit like this, too. My DH is going on a 4 date UK tour with a band (he's a live sound engineer) when I'm 37 weeks and I'm not at all impressed. The furthest he will be from me is 3 hours drive but he wont be able to just leave, he will need to finish the gig and pack the equipment away first. I have also been thinking about puppy pads to protect the mattress!!! It's weird, I feel like my whole world revolves around this one moment - and I don't know when it's going to be!!

@Alivoo01: That was my plan but we ended up getting a very nice waterproof mattress pad anyway :) We got a new mattress recently and I would be heart broken if I ruined it! But with the pee pads I figure I can rest on them on the bed, or on the glider, or in the car... The possibilities are endless!

Um, we have pee pee pads from when we had a puppy and were potty training (more than a year ago), but I totally kept them for personal use to put on my side of the bed post 37-weeks and to use on the way to the hospital if my water broke... LOL!!!

Oh I should point out, the reason he would be getting far away from me isn't for work, it's for golf (insert eye roll here). He works much closer to home and to the hospital than I do though.

@Bookworm: I decided I need to carry a big maxi pad or two around with me just in case. I'll leave the wee-wee pads at home :) And I still have 6 weeks left!

Right there with you lady!! This morning I was debating whether I should start bringing an extra pair of pants to work in case my water breaks at work, I've started to get paranoid at every single twinge that I'm going into labor, and I've hollered at DH to not let his cell phone leave his side while he's at work.

I literally cannot stop thinking about labor, when I will go into labor, when to call everyone, etc.

It's driving me bananas!!!! Doesn't help that I'm a ticking time bomb of ragey hormones too >.<

I think about this stuff all the time! I start working from home next week, so that eases my mind a bit (I'm afraid of my water breaking at work too - though it's definitely unlikely). DH works 35 minutes away, which isn't too bad. Hopefully I would be at home when I go into labor, so he could just come get me and our stuff and head to the hospital!

This is a great thread. My DH works out of town, so if I go early, most likely he will have to take emergency leave and then head here straight from work. We are hoping to make it until the 15th of October---my due date is the 20th. Technically, it's my second, since my first was induced and I responded well to the medicine that they made me take since our first was a miscarriage at 20 weeks. Hopefully my body and baby will be cooperative. :)

Not like in a rage-y way (though there is that too) but in a "when will I go into labor" way?

I still have 6 weeks until my due date, and no reason to think I would go early, but this morning DH and I were discussing how far away from me he could get and when-- like, a month before, 3 hours? In the last two weeks before due date, we decided he shouldn't be more than 2 hours from me in case I go into labor.

Then I started thinking about random things like when my water breaks, what would I do if I'm at work (even though I know that is SO unlikely and rarely the first sign of labor anyway). I also decided to ask my little sister to bring me some of her puppy's wee-wee pads in case I'm gushing on the way to the hospital. My brain knows these are unreasonable, but making plans just in case calms me down anyway.

Anyone else? I'm guessing it gets more intense the closer I get to go time.
