I think they do that to try and cut down on the number of people who come in for things like the common cold (since there's really not much they can do), and for parents who are paranoid of fevers. Just having someone reassure you that a 101 fever doesn't mean your kid is dying is nice. It's too bad that your peds don't do that. He had started kindergarten and was getting every little bug that flew around in the school. We will go really frequently and then have a few months off. It's annoying, and I don't love the front desk staff, but they are three blocks away so I won't switch over that. Oops, we did have one rash that I had them look at around 10 months.</p> <p> I do call the nurse regularly, though. They'll call back when they can and let me know if they think I should come in. With all of his weight checks and reflux and regular monthly vaccination visits, I feel like I'm in there once every 2 weeks. I'm afraid they're rolling their eyes at me whenever I call, but I know I can't be the only one who's a frequent visitor! I might be turning into a paranoid first time mom. First C was really congested. She was so little and having a rough time breathing through her nose without the snot sucker several times a day, so in we went. Then last week was her two month, so that's normal. Now over the weekend I've become afraid we have thrush. Obviously she didn't have it at our appt last week but combined we have enough mild to moderate symptoms that I think we should be checked, but now I feel like it's getting better and he's going to think in insane. At least he's nice and the office is close!</p> <p>Tell me I'm not the only one? </p>
