We tried for 15 months before BFP, but I had been researching pretty actively for about 9-12 months prior, so a solid 2 years of prep. I don't regret it in some ways because I feel like I learned a lot which helps now when I don't have a ton of time. I've read all sorts of articles, I may or may not have 3 ttc/birth books on my kindle, and I've watched more delivery videos than any of my pregnant/mom friends. I just love to know things! We tease and call me "Dr. Quinn" because I could very well be their doula/midwife/emergency delivery helper if needed. LOL. I've already learned a ton and feel like it will help me be more prepared when the time does come, but i also feel half-crazy for doing it. I live in a very attachment parenting environment.
