I did in college, with my then-fiance (now my ex). We each had it done separately and all I remember is that she said I had big decisions to make and that I would have 3 children, while she told him he'd have 2. He was pretty mad about that because we were in a really rough patch in our relationship - he'd broken up with me several times and finally proposed after I tried to leave for good and wanted to date someone else. To make a long story short, we did break up eventually, although I'm still waiting for any of those 3 kids!

Yes. It was weird. I was 20, it was like 3 am and my BFF and I were stumbling drunk across Jackson Square to catch a cab, and this guy jumps up and stops me, insists that he needs to read my palm. I blew him off, but he kept insisting that the powers that be were telling him to give me a reading. Finally I was like "Listen dude, I have just enough money for a cab, so please let us pass". Then he tells me that he'd do it for free because the PTB were telling him I needed to have a reading.

So we sit down and I tell him again that I really have only enough money to get home. He waves me off and starts the reading. Tells me that storms were brewing on my horizon, and that if I was brave when they passed I'd be in a very different place in my life. That I should expect a very hard, scary time that would lead to a big cross-country move. That the guy I was with (technically an ex at that point, but it was complicated--we were still very much involved) would break my heart again and betray me, but that it was okay because it would lead me to the right man, that I just had to be patient.

So he finally finished, and I went home, passed out and didn't think much more of it. I was living in New Orleans, and exactly two weeks later Hurricane Katrina hit. The ex, who I had still been living with, finally consented to evacuate with me to my parent's house (close-by, but out of the "bowl"), and then went to TX with me. Soon after, he decided to leave and move in with the other girl he'd been sleeping with. I took a scary blind leap, got on a plane for the first time in my life and moved to PA with only a duffle bag of clothes and toiletries that had been taken from our apartment. I stayed with the mother of a friend for a month, and then answered a craigslist ad for a housemate in Philly--who turned out to be DH's best friend.

I still think the whole thing is mostly hokey, but that experience was...weird, to say the least, especially looking back at it now.

I looked at a chart and compared my "lines" and I'll be if the line about children isn't dead on!
I was always of the one and done frame of mind, but I've had two and am pregnant with number three. I've got three lines on the right hand side of my right hand.

Anyone else given this a try?
