We did swing naps only the first three months. He weaned easily to his crib and it was so much easier than I expected. I didn't really do anything but start putting him in his crib... I had the same fear you do, but I can say that if that's how LO#2 naps best, I'll do it again in a heart beat!

He napped exclusively in his swing for the first 5.5 months. I transitioned him to his crib with his Magic Sleepsuit and he's been there for sleep and naps ever since. It was a very easy transition.

She magically began napping in her crib right before Christmas (6 months old). She was a swing napper before that.

We did the same thing, and LO was over it by about 4 months. She would squirm around and try and roll out, at which point we started nap training (we sleep trained around 3.5 months). At 19 months old, she is a wonderful sleeper, and I am very lucky.

DD2 was a swing napper, but one day she was just over it and tried to climb out. So I put her in the crib and she napped fine! She was about 6 months I think.

Yup, he slept every nap and night sleep in the swing (it helped with his reflux). We weaned at about 6 months and he started napping well at daycare but not at home. We decided it was better to get good sleep established anywhere than it was to be in a crib. Just know that there will be difficulty while weaning but that was worth it to us.

We have gotten into a good routine, which has been a challenge because LO is a sleep fighter & a catnapper. What has really helped is having her nap in her swing. Otherwise she cries for a long time falling asleep & will usually wake up after 30-40 mins. She takes 3-4 naps for 1-1.5 hrs in there everyday. I feel pretty guilty... and I worry that it will be hard to wean her from it. Just wondering others' experiences?
