I threw consecutive babyshowers the year I miscarried (after TTC for several years) because I just wanted to feel happy and normal again. I was just so tired of feeling miserable and crying myself to sleep. I tried to be happy for my friends and cousins and put my best face forward. It was so hard but my happiness for them found it's way to emerge. Eventually, I did start to feel optimistic again. Actually to be fair, my older sister slipped and told me that they were expecting before the announcement. So it wasn't as devastating as it sounds. I was able to prepare for it. Still hurt but not as much.</p> <p>So it was pretty funny, my older sister would forget that my SIL was pregnant.
