The toys keep him busy (there's places to clip your own too) and he jumps a lot. He likes it and it's strengthening his legs a lot. He always had good head control. At first he didn't even put any weight on his legs but now at almost ten months he actually bounces in it. Honestly I was concerned about him being in it for too long and how it might affect his development, etc. but he doesn't even want to stay in for long and we don't even use it every day. I really liked it because she hated tummy time but I didn't want her head to get flat so it was something to keep her head off a chair lol. And their feet/toes touch the ground. I have both and LO loves them but lately I've read that they're not so great for development, so limiting use is probably good. She was using one at day care so we busted out the one we had at our house.
