@Portboston: I have EPed with my DS since pretty much the beginning. He is almost 8 months and eats about 30oz a day (over 4/5 feedings) now along with 2-3 servings of solids (mostly purées). He has always been a big eater (toping out at 40oz before we started solids) despite being 45th percentile weight (but he is very long!!). I pump 4x a day but may drop to 3 pretty soon. Let me know if you have questions!

I EPed for DS with 1 bottle of formula supplementation a day at that point. From 8-10 months, he was on 4 bottles a day (730am, noon-ish, 4PM-ish, and 730pm) that were 6oz each. He might take 4-6oz of it, depending on how he felt. Between 9-11 months he dropped down to around 20-22oz a day, and some days really fought me to take even 16oz.

He got solids 3x a day and had 2 snacks (mostly Cheerios, puffs, melts, and mum mums around 10 AM, and yogurt around 4PM) but he wasn't a huge eater. We also kept straw cups of water out for him at all meals and snacks. I'd say on average, my son has been in the 35th-50th percentile for weight for most of his life, so he might be low to average in terms of appetite.

We're nursing, not EP, but I realized the other day that DD basically nurses on a schedule now and nurses much less and for less time now that she's rocking solids. I would bet good money she drinks only 15-20 oz of breastmilk milk a day now. I'd offer 3-5oz per bottle, depending on the time of day.
6 Milk, wake up
7 Breakfast
9 Milk, nap
11 Lunch
12:30 Milk, nap
4 or 5 Milk
6 Dinner
7 Milk, bed

I EP-ed and at that point she was drinking 20-24 oz/day, depending on her solid food intake. She didn't really drop down to 20 oz until about 10 months though.

I just had to switch to bottle feeding for our two daytime sessions because he was popping off the boob and not getting any milk. We nurse AM/PM and I think he gets 5-6oz from those sessions (guessitmating from days I have pumped those sessions). and then he gets 2 3-5oz bottles, depending on what solids/meals he's had.

I think on a good day he now gets 16 oz? maybe a lil more or less depending on the day.

He eats 3 meals has yogurt to maintain his dairy intake and is still gaining well so I'm not worried about it at this point.

DS1 was a milk and food lover and still had 25oz + a day at this point. DS2 is 8.5 months for reference.

@Anagram: thank you for all the info!! Today is the first day we're trying to do all bottles. So far, unsuccessful. I'm hoping he gets used to it fairly quickly.

@Portboston: I switched to EPing my second LO after she turned 6 months (for a variety of reasons--my work schedule, her bad latch, our recurrent thrush issues). She'll be 8 months this week, BUT she is not into eating food yet. Like, at all. Some days I can get her to try a few tiny bites of something, but all of her nutrition is still mommy milk at this point.

She drinks 24-29 oz a day, just depending on her appetite. And she's 95% for weight right now. We have vaguely been trying to get her to drop overnight feeds, but are unsuccessful thus far and she still eats twice a night (but small amounts, like 3 oz and 3 oz).

During the day, she has 5-6oz at 8:30, 12:00, 3:30-4ish, and then at 7:30 at bedtime.

@simplyfelicity: I did read that it ranges from 25-30ish oz but I thought it went down a bit when they start eating solids. But maybe not!

I don't have much experience with EP but I read on Kelly mom that most babies (despite their age) take in about 25 ounces on average.

My 8.5 month old has recently started biting. Fun stuff. Im considering switching to exclusively pumping for the next 3.5 months. I SAH so, currently, he is exclusively on the boob, although he will take a bottle. I know the biting is more then likely a phase, because of teething but, Im kind of over having him attached to me all day, as well as the MOTN wake ups. (DH is willing to help with those if we do bottles but Im hoping we'd be able to cut them out!)

For those of you who exclusively pump- how many ounces does your 8-10 month old drink over a 24 hour period? How do you space it out? Im kind of at a loss as to how to start this. I have been feeding pretty much on demand for the past 8 months though we are recently getting into more of an eating schedule. He eats about 4-5 times during the day and 1-2 times at night plus a decent lunch and dinner of solids (apparently he's not a breakfast person unless its pancakes.... :-/)
