I started using it at around 4 months. We propped him up with a blanket, and around 5-6 months he was really enjoying it. We avoided walkers because of the safety risks. We don't have stairs, but want a safe place to set him that is stationary.<br /> Actually if I was going to do it over I'd get a jumperoo for our house instead of the exersaucer. My in laws have a baby Einstein one that DS loves.
