Thanks for the feedback everyone! We ended up getting a FP rainforest jumperoo for $30 at a consignment store. He's not ready for it yet but will be soon.

Bought a used exersaucer, wasn't excited about how bulky they are but DS likes it and we take it outside to contain him while we do yard work. Opted for a doorway jumper and he only uses it for short periods of time.

We had both and it's hard to say which he/we liked better. As he got a touch older he liked the jumperoo better. But I think he was able to use the exersaucer sooner so he got more use out of it.
Also, we had an exersaucer that has 3 stages. It eventually turns into a sort of play center they can just stand at. Oh and starts as a play mat. But I don't think we realized that until it was too late so didn't use it.

http://m.target.com/p/evenflo-exersaucer-triple-fun-entertainer-life-in-the-amazon/-/A-14419218?ref=tgt_adv_XS000000&AFID=google_pla_df&CPNG=PLA_Baby%2BShopping&adgroup=SC_Baby&LID=700000001170770pgs&network=g&device=m&location=9003686&gclid=CPqY0LnG2cwCFUgehgodAfYAjA&gclsrc=aw.ds

But honestly don't think you can go wrong with either. They were pretty equal in our home (DS loved both, same size, both adjustable and same ease of cleaning).

We had a Jumparoo. The Baby Einstein one with the keyboard - I think it's called neighborhood friends or something. My son was tall and it had lots of adjustable heights and we never took the damn thing down because even now at 20 months he walks over and bangs away and dances to the songs I the keyboard! You can't fold it flat per se but it can disassemble partially pretty fast to pass through doorways. If you can find it used get it that way not only because it's cheaper but because assembling the damn thing is such a pain!

LO uses a jumperoo at daycare and an exersaucer at home. She loves both. We got the exersaucer because it was cheaper but GOODNESS is that thing loud when she bounces.

We haven't tried an exersaucer, but LO1 loved the jumparoo. We got it from my sister, who bought it used and it is still in great shape. We haven't put LO2 in it yet, but we have a 6-month old LO that comes to our house 2 days a week and she loves it too.

Definitely the jumparoo but either way second getting one used. We got ours from craigslist for $15-20 bucks and definitely glad we did because it is only used for a few months.

I like the jumparoo better for disassembling and more jump-able. She used an exersaucer at my parents house and she preferred the jumparoo.

We have both, one is in the kitchen and one in the living room. I like having them both so I can put LO somewhere safe while I'm cooking or showering (bathroom is off the kitchen, I just pull it over to the doorway so I can see). The exersaucer was free from my cousin and the jumperoo I got used in like new condition for cheap. In reality I only used them for a few months with ODS and they are both in storage until YDS is old enough to use them which should be within a couple of months.

Fisher price Jumperoo! We were handed down one and an exersaucer. She loves the jumperoo. Exersaucer she'll only tolerate for a few minutes. We also were gifted the little einsteins jumperoo and she's not a fan. Much harder to jump in.

We got an exersaucer because it also can be used as a play mat when they're younger and an activity table when they're older. I'm not sure how well it really works as either of those things, but T loves it as an exersaucer and loves to jump so we like it so far.

Jumparoo. We borrowed one from a friend. It is the Fisher price rainforest one. Easy to adjust for height, removable seat to wash, and the whole thing is easy to disassemble. DD loves jumping!

Jumperoo. We have both. Both were hand me downs. She loves the jumperoo and hates he excersaucer. She cries when she is in the excersaucer. It is kept at my parents' and we have only tried using it twice. I'm glad we didn't pay for it!

I feel the jumperoo is better for storing too. The legs come apart and the seat can be removed and washed. She tries to jump with her legs when not in it and we have only used it a few times so far. I sometimes forget about it. She is 6 months now. We tried both about a month ago when she could sit up.

We got a jumparoo, but I think they're practically the same thing as an exersaucer. I got ours used and I'm glad I did because he would only tolerate it for a few minutes at a time, and only got used for a few months. It basically bought me about 10 minutes in the morning where I could put him down and have him be contained and entertained while I grabbed all our stuff so we could run out the door.

We were willing to get one used so the ability to pack it up didn't really matter. We had the jumper-roo but my kids didn't really like to jump.

Make sure either one has adjustable heights so you can get proper foot on the ground

It seems like they overlap in a lot of aspects...? So which one would you get, ExerSaucer or jumperoo? I'm not getting one of those doorframe jumpers, that scares me. Recommendations welcome... I'm looking for interchangeable toys, easy to "pack up" when he grows out of it, and a washable "seat". Anything else I should be looking for?
