This time around I've bought almost everything used (2nd child syndrome?! lol) her swing was pricey, well worth it, her jumperoo was used regularly, her chicco walker was $60 and she loves it! Some toys are worth it, some are not. I'm looking for a learning table now, I won't pay full retail for it though.

We have a learning table and we paid a lot more than $40 for it (that's Europe for you, everything is twice the price, at least). At 16 months, DS still loves it, so I consider it well worth the money.

I don't know. LO's jumparoo was pretty pricey and she did use it and love it for a while, but I wish she loved it longer.

We have a learn and play kitchen. I borrowed it from SIL, but it retails for over 200 bucks!! My LO loves it and has so much fun with it. I definitely wouldn't have purchased it for that much, but I would probably drop $150 for a retro play kitchen. I think it's worth the investment.

LO is almost 7 months, and we have the leapfrog learn and groove table. I couldn't stomach spending $40 on it, so I bought a used one on Craigslist for less than half that. At this point, I'm glad I didn't spend more. She likes it okay, but no more than her blocks, shape sorter, and stacking cups, which all cost a lot less. I'm hoping she'll like it more as she gets older and starts pulling up.
ETA: Right now we don't have the legs on it, so she sits on the floor to play with it. I think that once she's standing and can reach all of the components better it will be more fun.

I'm thinking about getting LO (7.5months) a learning table... The ones I've seen are atleast 40 dollars... are bigger, expensive toys worth the money?

What expensive toys have you purchased? Do you thing it was worth it?
