I stopped pumping at 11.5 months but continued to nurse DD in the morning and at bedtime (and if she can't put herself back to sleep in the middle of the night because of teething or sickness). I don't nurse DD during the day on the weekends since I don't want to confuse her (she loves to nurse). She gets bottles of whole milk during the day which I am now in the process of switching the sippy cups.

I stopped pumping during the work week around 10 months and was nursing mornings, nights and weekends. He slowly dropped the morning nursing (slept past the time I'd leave for work). And then he stopped nursing at night around 11 months.

I stopped pumping at work around 13 months. We continued to nurse mornings and night until she was 18 months. By that point I don't think she was getting much and she would have happily continued for comfort but I was done.

I'm planning to do the same. Just dropped to one pumping session at work this week. LO is almost 8 months. Wasn't sure if I would be able to nurse during the day on weekends or not. Curious to hear what others have to say.

Ohh, this is a good thread. We're close to weaning starting in May at 8 months. Pumping at work is too exhausting and taking away from the clients I work with. Subscribing!

Once I dropped my daytime pumps at work at about 8 months, I stopped nursing during the day on weekends, but I continued to do first thing in the morning and right before bed for another 7 months. We went through our stash very quickly and he just had formula during the day and nursed 2x/day until he was 15ish months old.

Sort of. I nurse in the early morning, after i pick LO up, and right before bed. She doesn't take any bottles at daycare, but on the weekends i'll let her nurse as often as she wants, which is usually about 4x a day. LO is 1 year old.

So, I have decreased my pumping sessions from 3 to 2 during the work day, and am planning to drop to just one and then (eventually) none. In lieu of a long story, ultimately, what I think would work best for us is to BF at night/early morning, and on weekends. Has anyone had experience with this?

LO is 7.5 months.
